Widget Code and Instruction

Widget Code

The Golf widget can be implemented on any web property by copying and pasting the widget code into the pages on those sites.  The code is below:

<link type="text/css" href="http://turnerwidgets.active.com/SharedSites/74/templates/css/650search-widget-styles.css" rel="stylesheet" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://widgets.active.com/widgets/search/jquery.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">$.noConflict();</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://widgets.active.com/javascripts/jquery.ui.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://turnerwidgets.active.com/SharedSites/74/templates/js/widget.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
  new ActiveNetwork.SearchWidget({"num":"5","activity":"golf","type":"any","showTypeSelector":false,"location":"","width":"650px","affiliate":"209246","linkTrustCampaign":"177561","placement":"turnerwidgets.active.com"}).render();

Source Tracking

In order to track widget usage and conversion from various web properties, you must update the "placement" parameter in the widget code to reflect the site on which the widget resides. For example, if the widget resides on PGA.com, the placement parameter would look like this: "placement":"pga.com". This value will be reflected in your affiliate reports.

Widget Customization

Using the code above will render the widget as shown in this example.  If you wish to customize the colors or size of the widget to more closely fit the web properties on which it will reside, you can follow these instructions:

1. Download the widget CSS from here and save it within your website's design template

2. Make the necessary modifications to the CSS.

3. In the widget code above, change the first line of code to reference the customized CSS that resides in your site's design template.

4. Paste the widget code in the location you wish for it to appear on your site.
